How AI Is Rewriting the Marketing Playbook with CMO Matt Seitz

Written by Anthony Taylor | November 04

Artificial intelligence is changing marketing faster than most organizations can adapt — but great leaders know the secret isn’t just adopting new tools, it’s redefining how teams think.

In this episode of the Strategy and Leadership Podcast, Anthony Taylor speaks with Matt Seitz, Chief Marketing Officer and Partner at Prosperity Capital Advisors, as well as CMO of C2P Enterprises and JL Smith Holistic Wealth Management. Under his leadership, JL Smith achieved 40% annual growth, C2P launched one of the first in-house marketing agencies for advisors, and Prosperity Capital Advisors now supports more than 130 independent advisors nationwide.

Matt shares how he and his teams are using AI to evolve marketing strategy, strengthen sales integration, and reinforce the human element at the heart of every brand.

1. AI is transforming marketing strategy — but humanity still wins

AI is changing how organizations create, communicate, and connect, yet the most effective marketing still comes down to trust. Matt emphasizes that people want to work with those they know, like, and trust. AI can enhance efficiency and insight, but leaders must ensure technology amplifies human connection rather than replaces it.

2. The traditional funnel is gone — marketing is now a continuous loop

The marketing funnel has evolved into what Matt calls a “loop.” Rather than pushing leads down a linear path, brands must meet people where they are — across social, search, video, and conversational platforms. Smart marketing now means understanding context, creating adaptive content, and staying discoverable in the channels people prefer.

3. Use AI as a thought partner, not just a content engine

Matt describes how leaders can use AI to challenge assumptions, explore new perspectives, and “bulletproof” their strategies. By creating personas to simulate a board of directors or a chief growth officer, leaders can use AI to refine decision-making and stress-test ideas before taking them to market.

4. Culture and storytelling are the new differentiators

Culture drives brand identity. Matt explains that organizations with authentic stories and shared purpose outperform those focused only on tactics or features. Internally, this means aligning marketing, sales, and leadership around a shared vision. Externally, it means telling stories that show why your company exists — not just what it sells.

5. The next era of marketing requires adaptability and curiosity

As AI reshapes how people search, learn, and engage, leaders must stay adaptable and curious. Success now depends on blending data-driven insights with creativity and empathy — building teams that can evolve alongside technology and maintain a human-centered approach.
