Creating Alignment With Your Strategic Plan

By Anthony Taylor - November 20, 2014

Whether you will be going through the strategic planning process as a team or you're leading the creation of the strategy for your company, there are certain ingredients that you need to make your plan a success.

Some of these key ingredients are:

  • A vivid vision of the future
  • A mission to help achieve that vision
  • Implementable goals that align with your mission and your vision

Add in an internal and external analysis plus value statements about your company and they way it does business, and you're on your way to building out your strategic plan.

A point worth noting is that if you want organization wide employee buy-in and follow through/implementation, it's a good idea to include your team in the planning process as early as possible.
